Pass It On Blood Drive
In honor of Lance giving life to Patrick in 2011, we held a "Pass it On" Blood Drive on Saturday February 2, 2013. We had a great turn out with 38 of the 44 people screened to donate blood. Unfortunately, due to staffing, we had to turn away over a dozen walk-ins. What was remarkable is that 25 of the people were first time blood donors.
We still have a goal of generating 100 units of blood. Please join us by donating and help us spread the word and save a life. Click here to add yourself to the list.

Celebrating one year kidney transplant anniversary
In October, we were able to connect with Lance, Theressa and their youngest daughter Halle to celebrate our one year kidney transplant. Patrick is back to normal activities and his new kidney is functioning well. Click here for Patrick's blog update.
Kidney transplant a success

Patrick and Lance after transplant - September 20, 2011
"Perfect" was the word the surgeon used to describe Lance's kidney and surgery. We rejoice with the news that Lance's kidney immediately started working for Patrick. Six hours after his surgery, Lance was able to walk and come visit Patrick in his room.
Lance's story

The Losey Family - Lance & wife Theressa with their children Alena, Caleb, Ellis & Halle
"I initially responded to Patrick’s letter seeking a kidney donor by quickly scanning it and voicing the wish: I sure hope someone comes through for him. But God kept pressing me to consider seriously what was asked. Returning to the letter several days later, I better saw Patrick’s need, and realized I was in as good of position as any of Patrick’s friends to offer help. Wanting my body to be God’s to use as He wishes, I really couldn’t find a reason (other than fear) not to pursue donation. Apart from me, God also worked in Theressa’s heart to bring her to the same conclusion, leading to a series of further faith-building confirmations of God’s hand in the process. Surprisingly, once the decision to donate was made, our mindset shifted from anxiety over the decision to great excitement. What a thrill to be part of God’s plan, to give just a little of us for such tremendous return! I can’t wait for Patrick’s return to health—to see him fully restored as Austin’s dad and Gina’s husband. More than all else, I’m thankful for the gift of Christ, and the abundant, eternal life I share in Him. His sacrifice makes all others possible and each gift full of joy." - Lance Losey
